Rafael Pereira
Rafael Pereira specializes in patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio management, and client counseling, with a focus on software and machine learning applications. His technical expertise stems from his computer science degree and previous career as a software engineer. Rafael has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications across various technologies, including autonomous flight, biotechnology, blockchain, cryptology, electric vehicles, eVTOL, machine vision, 3D modeling, biomedical applications utilizing machine learning, software inventions, and virtual reality.
Before joining Jones Robb, Rafael served as a patent attorney at an intellectual property law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where he honed his skills in client development, patent portfolio management, and formulating patent monetization strategies. Prior to his legal career, Rafael worked as a software engineer in Boston, gaining valuable insight into autonomous and electric vehicles, as well as car sharing platforms. During his time in law school, Rafael also contributed as a research assistant, focusing on enhancing the application and acceptance rate of students in the First-Generation Law Student program.
