Kerry Owens
Kerry Owens has 25 years of experience as a patent attorney. Throughout her career, Kerry has drafted and prosecuted patent applications across a wide variety of technical fields including software, telecommunications, optics, electronics, ecommerce, fintech, and other electrical and mechanical technologies. Kerry’s practice includes all aspects of USPTO practice, such as interviews, petitions, appeals, oral argument, and post-grant proceedings.In addition to practicing before the USPTO, Kerry has conducted product clearance, infringement, and validity investigations, and has rendered opinions based on these investigations. Kerry has also assisted in litigation matters involving patents and has negotiated and drafted patent and trademark licensing agreements.
Prior to joining Jones Robb, Kerry worked for several large law firms, served as in-house counsel at The Black and Decker Corporation, and worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO. As a patent examiner, Kerry examined applications related to medical device technology and electronic gaming technology.
