Jones Robb is fortunate to have a very high level of experience in our Patent Legal Assistant (PLA) and docketing roles, a key component in delivering excellent service to our clients. Our standout team are folks who have been practicing their specialty for years and have seen many things. Counterparts on the client side, i.e., paralegals and docketing staff, often reach out for assistance and our team is able to offer insights and process advice, including assistance with various platforms common to the IP space. The amount of talent and experience our team has not only allows us to provide an excellent work product to our clients, it allows us to understand unique issues that might arise and allows us to help clients correct errors overlooked, unnoticed, or unknowingly caused by prior firms.
Trish Cupolo
IP Docketing Specialist
Trish joined the Jones Robb team in January 2025. As a key member of our docketing professionals, she brings over 20 years of experience in legal administration and docketing management to the firm. Her expertise spans both domestic and international intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent and trademark docketing.
Prior to joining Jones Robb, Trish worked as a Docketing Administrator at a boutique IP law firm, where she managed complex IP portfolios for multinational clients. She was also the Branch Office Manager for a large national firm focused on Intellectual Property.
In her current role at Jones Robb, Trish supports the firm’s attorneys and clients by:
- Monitoring docketing intake and USPTO Patent Center for incoming correspondence and actions
- Docketing U.S. and foreign patent dates
- Generating and monitoring daily docket reports to ensure compliance with all deadlines
- Managing report requests from attorneys and other IP staff members
- Maintaining the integrity of the firm's IP database, which minimizes response time for internal and external client requests
Josh Beltran
Senior IP Docketing Specialist
Josh joined the Jones Robb team in December of 2022. As part of our experienced team of docketing professionals, Josh brings over 20 years of legal assistant and docketing management experience. Prior to joining Jones Robb, Josh worked as an IP patent administrator for RWS/inovia in New York, where he was responsible for obtaining POAs, assignment documents, and the filing of 92bis. He served as the point of contact for Spanish agents and worked closely with translation partners/providers to ensure filing deadlines dates were met. Josh also worked in docketing positions at several small firms, where he assisted in preparing both domestic and international patent application documents. In his current role, Josh supports the attorneys and clients of Jones Robb by:- Monitoring docketing intake and USPTO PAIR for incoming correspondence and actions
- Docketing U.S and foreign patent dates
- Generating and monitoring daily docket reports ensuring compliance with meeting all deadlines and updates
- Managing report requests from attorneys and other IP staff members
- Maintaining the integrity of our information, which minimizes response time for requests from our internal and external clients
